Dana Outlaw graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1999 with degrees in social work and political science. She went on to graduate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2003. Upon graduation, she started a solo practice with an emphasis on family and criminal law. She recently served as the contract attorney for Hope House, Inc., a domestic violence agency, representing victims of domestic violence in securing orders of protection, divorces, child custody, child support and property divisions. She is frequently appointed to serve as Guardian Ad Litem in cases involving child abuse, neglect, drug use and domestic violence.
In addition to practicing family law, Dana Outlaw also defends clients arrested for criminal offenses, from minor infractions, such as traffic violations and drunk driving offenses, to felony indictments in state courts. She does a complete investigation and does not accept anything at face value.
Dana Outlaw is a member in good standing with the Missouri Bar Association and Co-Vice Chair of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Family Law Section. She has been the featured speaker at local and statewide bar meetings and has trained attorneys on issues involving domestic violence and the impact on children.
